Lerer Ventures has raised a total of $25 million for its second seed-stage portfolio, New York Magazine reports. Lerer has also appointed Eric Hippeau to manage the new portfolio.
He is joining the firm from The Huffington Post, where he was serving as CEO. In December 2009, the New York City-based firm had raised $8.5 million fund to invest in local start-ups.
