London-based venture capital firm Index Ventures has raised a €500 million growth fund, The Wall Street Journal reports. The firm is expected to invest some of it in high-growth European companies and the remaining in the U.S.
The fund will contribute between €10 million and €50 million to high-growth companies that are doing nearly €15 million to €20 million in sales. The firm raised €420 million for its first fund in 2007.
