Sprott Asset Management is planning to combines two of its funds. The Sprott Growth Fund will be merged with the Sprott Small Cap Equity Fund. The holders of units of each series of the growth fund will get units of the equivalent series of small cap equity fund.
Allan Jacobs and Peter Imhof will join the portfolio management team of the small cap equity fund. The merger, which is subject to receiving regulatory approval, is expected to be effective from Aug. 29, 2011.
