The private equity owners of Telcordia Technologies are planning to sell it for about $1-1.5 billion, The Wall Street Journal reports. Providence Equity Partners and Warburg Pincus have appointed Credit Suisse to manage the auction. An initial public offering is also being considered for the telecommunications software company. The private equity firms had bought Telcordia for $1.35 billion in 2004 in an all-cash deal.
