Illinois-based Hometown America, a privately held company, has bought the Oak Point over-55 residential complex for $55 million, Enterprise News reports. The company owns and manages in excess of 100 manufactured housing communities across the nation.
The Oak Point complex comprises freestanding manufactured homes including a club house, fitness center and ballroom. Similar communities owned by Hometown in Massachusetts include Leisurewoods in Taunton and in Rockland, Oakhill in Attleboro and Miller’s Woods and River Bend in Athol.
