Yum Brands is seeking to sell its Long John Silver’s and A&W All-American Food restaurant chains, The Wall Street Journal reports. The U.S. restaurant company acquired Long John Silver’s and A&W for $320 million in 2002.
The two brands are likely to attract a private equity buyer. The Kentucky-based company is planning to sell its two brands to focus on the international growth of its Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut brands.
