Majedie Asset Management has bagged a $500 million mandate for its new global equities strategy.

Majedie Asset Management has bagged a $500 million mandate for its new global equities strategy, Financial News reports. The asset manager will oversee the St. James’s Place Global Equity Fund of wealth management group St. James’s Place.

Majedie’s global equity team, run by former Odey Asset Management and MFS Investment Management managers Simon Todd and Michael Nickson, will handle the new mandate which puts the total assets under its management at $600 million. Investment consultant Stamford Associates conducted the manager research exercise for the fund.
