Hartford Appoints Risk Head

The Hartford Financial Services Group, a U.S. insurance and investment company, has named Robert Rupp as executive vice president and chief risk officer.

The Hartford Financial Services Group, a U.S. insurance and investment company, has named Robert Rupp as executive vice president and chief risk officer. He will report to the company’s chairman, president and CEO Liam McGee.

Rupp will take up his new responsibilities from Lizabeth Zlatkus, who is retiring. Before joining Hartford, Rupp was executive vice president and head of enterprise-wide market risk at BNY Mellon, the Boston-based asset management and securities services company. Previously, he was associated with JPMorgan Chase & Co., Chemical Bank, Kutak Rock and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
