The National Stock Exchange (NSE) will charge transaction fees for currency derivatives, Business Standard reports. Stock exchange members will have to pay between $0.02 and $0.025 for every $2,200 of turnover in the currency futures segment.
They will also pay a transaction fee between $0.66 and $0.88 on every $2,200 of premium payable on currency option contracts. The Indian exchange will levy the charges from August 22.
