Martin Currie To Convert Walker Trust

Martin Currie is seeking to convert Tom Walker’s Portfolio investment trust in to a pure global equities vehicle.

Martin Currie is seeking to convert Tom Walker’s Portfolio investment trust in to a pure global equities vehicle, Investment Week reports. The £139 million trust is currently benchmarked against the FTSE All Share index and can invest up to 50% of its portfolio in international equities.

After the change, the fund will be benchmarked against the FTSE World index and will be able to invest 100% in international equities. Walker also handles Martin Currie’s North America and North American Alpha funds.
