Steve Leuthold will be stepping down as CIO of Leuthold Weeden Capital Management. He will also be giving up his responsibilities as co-portfolio manager on the Leuthold Funds and most separate accounts. Doug Ramsey, the firm’s director of research, has been named CIO and Eric Weigel has been appointed as director of research.

Leuthold will continue on the boards of the mutual fund and the Leuthold Weeden and will retain his ownership stake in Leuthold Weeden. He will also serve in an advisory role and continue to manage the Leuthold CC Fund. With the help of Leuthold Weeden investment professionals, he will also carry on running a few accounts, including the Leuthold’s family foundation assets.
