Legg Mason has sold its subsidiary, Barrett Associates, to its management, MutualFundWire reports. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed. The management of Barrett Associates has created a new firm, called Barrett Asset Management. The firm offers two mutual funds, Barrett Growth and Barrett Opportunity.
