Net lending in the U.K. fell to its lowest level since the beginning of 2009 during the fourth quarter, according to the Financial Services Authority. The FSA said net lending was off 57% from a year earlier, while gross lending slid 11% during the same period. The number of repossessions declined 10% from the third quarter and was down 28% for the year, as the number of new repossession cases has been shrinking for the past two years.
