Bonanza Creek Energy is raising $200 million in an initial public offering of common shares, The Wall Street Journal reports. The company intends to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange.

The oil and natural gas company will use the proceeds to repay debt and to fund its exploration and development program. Morgan Stanley is appointed to underwrite the offering, adds Reuters.
