HSBC has recruited Barclays Capital’s FX sales executive Alex Scountjos for its sales desk in London, FX Week reports. The lender has also hired Yorke O’Leary from Goldman Sachs to work in the hedge funds FX sales team in London.

Scountjos will be in charge of foreign exchange and commodities sales and focus on the U.K., Greece and Cyprus. Stephen McEvoy, foreign exchange sales to central banks, and Richard Easton, foreign exchange and interest rate sales, have both stepped down from their roles at HSBC.
