Carl Icahn’s Investment Portfolio Posts Another Strong Quarterly Gain

The activist’s proprietary capital is outperforming most hedge funds this year.

Carl Icahn is on pace to post his best gains on his proprietary capital in the past five years.

In the second quarter, the octogenarian activist investor’s portfolio gained 4.9 percent, bringing its gain for the first six months to 10.5 percent.

The performance results were reported in a new regulatory filing from Icahn Enterprises and Icahn Enterprises Holdings, Icahn’s publicly traded holding companies.
