Jonathan Auerbach’s Hound Partners has gotten off to a strong start after four years of less-than-stellar performance. The fund, a so-called Tiger Seed because Auerbach received start-up capital from Tiger Management founder Julian Robertson Jr., climbed 5.3 percent in April and is now up 16.8 percent
