Bull market? What bull market?

Sure, many of the major stock indices are up in the mid- to upper 20 percent range. And many hedge funds are outperforming, or not lagging too far behind.

However, for a number of hedge funds deploying a variety of strategies, 2019 is turning into a nightmare, exacerbated by the fact that many of their peers are enjoying very good years.
