BB Seguridade Participações

Banco do Brasil, the country’s largest bank in terms of assets, founded BB Seguridade Participações in 2012 to better manage partnerships with private insurance, pension plans and premium bond companies. Partners include Spain’s Mapfre, Principal Financial Group and Brazil’s Icatu Group. BB Seguridade, which is headquartered in Brasília, has a 75 percent stake in dental insurance company Brasildental and entered the reinsurance market in 2013 by acquiring 20.5 percent of IRB Brasil Ressuguro.
