Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones, commonly abbreviated as Entel, is Chile’s largest telecommunications provider. The Santiago-based company offers both fixed-line and mobile telephone service, digital television and Internet for individuals, families and corporations. Its mobile phone coverage reaches more than 10 million customers in Chile and almost 2 million in Peru. Founded in 1964, Entel employs over 4,500 people.
