Ilze Roux & team
Bank of America
Merrill Lynch
Bank of America Merrill Lynch, which spent the past two years in the runner-up position, vaults to second place under the direction of Ilze Roux, who also helms the No. 2 crew in Construction & Engineering. With five analysts reporting on 16 stocks from offices in Russia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and the U.K., the team is bullish on Turkish names. “Our view is that Turkey can grow despite global issues,” says Roux. “This, together with supportive cyclical and structural factors — such as lower interest rates, rising disposable incomes, employment growth, low car penetration and a shift toward passenger cars — will drive durable consumer spending.” Top picks include dealership operator Dogus Otomotive Servis ve Ticaret and automaker Ford Otosan Sanayi. — Leslie Kramer
