SQN’s Dilemma

The one-time II Rising Star’s tech fund was battered in the first half, although it has started to rebound this quarter.

Another one-time high-flying tech investor has suffered huge losses this year.

SQN Investors, headed by one-time Institutional Investor Hedge Fund Rising Star Amish Mehta, was down about 40 percent in the first half, according to an investor. The loss was double the decline suffered by the S&P 500 during the same period, and SQN’s sharp decline comes after the fund lost nearly 11 percent in 2021.
