Artyom Golodnov | Goldman Sachs | Artyom Golodnov of Goldman Sachs repeats in third place. The analyst, who reports on six stocks in this sector (and also follows a number of infrastructure companies) earns high marks for maintaining a neutral rating on PIK Group since launching coverage back in May 2010, when the company’s global depositary receipts were trading at $4.23. Golodnov was concerned about the Moscow-based homebuilder’s high debt burden. In the 12 months through May, the GDRs fell 10.6 percent, from $2.46 to $2.20, while the sector gained 23.5 percent. The researcher is “quick thinking and has strong analytical skills, going deep into details without forgetting the broad picture,” insists one portfolio manager in Moscow. — Ben Mattlin |
