Nephila, named after a Bermuda spider that supposedly senses advancing hurricanes, is one of the largest and best-performing catastrophe risk and reinsurance specialists in the world. The Bermuda-based company made its Hedge Fund 100 debut in 2013, after assets grew from $5.5 billion in 2011 to $7.8 billion by the end of 2012.
