Five companies dominate Institutional Investor’s seventh annual All-Japan Executive Team.

The 2019 ranking of the country’s best CEOs, CFOs, and investor relations professionals recognizes the top Japan-based companies across 25 industry sectors. Out of the 145 firms represented in this year’s ranking, 77 scored highly enough to receive the designation of Most Honored Company. Just five swept their sectors, earning first place in each of the four categories: CEO, CFO, IR professional, and IR company.
These top-scoring firms were Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (Banks), SoftBank Group Corp. (Broadcasting & Telecommunications), Nidec Corp. (Electronics/Components), Sony Corp. (Electronics/Consumer), and Mitsui Fudosan Co. (Housing & Real Estate).
A total of 886 money managers and research analysts from 349 securities firms and financial institutions voted to determine this year’s ranking.
