Morgan Stanley leads Institutional Investor’s 2018 All-Asia Trading Team, with first place finishes across electronic trading, high touch, and portfolio trading.

Respondents to the fifth annual survey were asked to rank their top execution and trading services providers across Australia/New Zealand, China/Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, as well as developing and frontier trading markets in Asia. The final results were based on responses from 400 investment professionals.

In electronic trading, Morgan Stanley claimed victory in five out of eight categories, including Pan-Asia trading. Other gold medalists included UBS, for electronic trading in India and developing trading markets, and Macquarie, for its coverage of Korea.

The high touch division was more evenly split, with Morgan Stanley and UBS each topping three categories. UBS placed first in Australia/New Zealand, Taiwan, and developing trading markets, while Morgan Stanley was rated No. 1 for Pan-Asia trading services, as well as coverage of China/Hong Kong and Korea.

In portfolio trading, Morgan Stanley placed first overall, followed by UBS in second place and Credit Suisse in third.
