Bank of America Merrill Lynch is back on top.

After trailing UBS earlier in the year, BofA Merrill Lynch is now the frontrunner to be this year’s Global Research Leader, having won a total of 141 team positions across the six surveys published by II so far this year: the All-Europe Research Team, All-Europe Fixed-Income Research Team, All-Japan Research Team, All-Asia Research Team, Emerging EMEA Research Team, and the newest addition, the All-America Fixed-Income Research Team.

Following close behind with 133 team positions is last year’s victor, JPMorgan Chase & Co. With only one analyst ranking on the All-America Fixed-Income Research Team, UBS has dropped to fourth place, but continues to lead in equities research.

The following surveys remain:

  • Latin America Research Team
  • All-Brazil Research Team
  • All-America Research Team
  • All-India Research Team
  • All-China Research Team

II’s Global Research Leaders is based on the cumulative results of the Research Team surveys for 11 countries and regions worldwide, and includes both equity and fixed income categories.
