Picking the Team

To select the members of Institutional Investor’s fourth annual All-Russia Sales Team, we invited participants in the broader research survey to name up to four firms that they feel have the best sales forces serving clients that invest in Russia.

We received responses from 302 buy-side analysts and money managers at 217 firms that collectively manage an estimated $59 billion in Russian equity assets. Roughly 89 percent of those who cast votes in the research team survey, representing 90 percent of the participating buy-side institutions, answered our question about the best sales teams.

We weighted votes by a respondent’s Russian equity assets under management and the place awarded (first through fourth). The names of those surveyed and their institutions are kept confidential to ensure their continuing cooperation. Voters must meet eligibility requirements, and winners must achieve a minimum vote count. All ballots are subject to review by our Research Operations Group, and final results may be inspected by an independent auditor.

The 2015 All-Russia Sales Team ranking was compiled by Senior Research Editor Tucker Ewing, Associate Research Editor Denise Hoguet and Researchers Denise Best and Amy Kong under the direction of Thomas W. Johnson, Director of Research.
