Malta SE Adds Deutsche Börse’s Xetra

Valletta-based bourse Malta Stock Exchange will be utilizing German exchange Deutsche Börse Group’s fully electronic trading system Xetra.

Valletta-based bourse Malta Stock Exchange (MSE) will be utilizing German exchange Deutsche Börse Group’s fully electronic trading system Xetra. Deutsche Börse will organize trading in equities listed on MSE from mid-2012 onwards. The two exchanges have entered a minimum five-year agreement on October 24.

Through the alliance, MSE’s trading participants will be connected to a fully electronic network of 4,500 traders in 18 countries. Becoming a participant exchange on the Xetra platform will bring new prospects for international expansion for MSE as well as its members, issuers and investors.
