Global venture capital and growth equity firm Accel Partners has raised $155 million as seed and early-stage investments for the Accel India III fund in India.

Global venture capital and growth equity firm Accel Partners has raised $155 million as seed and early-stage investments for the Accel India III fund in India. The fund has drawn top-tier institutional investors from North America, Europe and Asia.

The vehicle will aim at opportunities in Internet services, digital media, software as a service and enterprise technologies, mobile, healthcare and education, and other high-growth industries. Accel presently has 34 portfolio companies in India. The firm seeks to be the first investment partner of choice for entrepreneurs starting from the very earliest stages of a company with the help of its highly engaged model of company-building.
