SECOND TEAM Tien-Tsin Huang J.P. Morgan
Clients say “objectivity” and “stellar stock calls” help Tien-Tsin Huang capture second place for a third year running; another fan says he finds the J.P. Morgan analyst’s “intellectual honesty refreshing.” Huang dubbed Purchase, New York–based credit card transaction processor MasterCard his top pick for this year in January, at $232.59, on the belief that the market was overstating the impact of new regulations limiting how much banks can charge retailers to process debit-card transactions. The stock had zipped to $329.71 by the end of August, for a gain of 41.6 percent that bested the sector by 31.7 percentage points.
