Swiss private banking firm Julius Baer Group has hired Kaven Leung as CEO North Asia, deputy CEO Asia and CEO of the Hong Kong unit. Reporting to Thomas Meier, he will head the North Asia region and Hong Kong branch. Leung will also be Meir’s deputy in his role of CEO Asia and be member of the bank’s Asia executive committee.
Effective April 19, Leung will join Julius Baer from global investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs, where he co-heads the Asian private banking unit. He was also CEO of Citigroup’s Global Wealth Management Asia and member of the firm’s management committee and Asia management board.
