Henry Hou has joined London-based lender HSBC Holdings as head of energy solutions sales for Greater China, global markets, The Asset reports. He will be based in Hong Kong and will report jointly to Ivan Wong, managing director, head of corporate sales, Greater China, global markets, and Hossein Zaimi, managing director, head of FX and commodities, Asia-Pacific, global markets.
Hou will oversee energy risk management product sales to corporate clients in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Vietnam. Previously, he was head of energy marketing for Greater China at New York–based lender Morgan Stanley. HSBC has also appointed Total’s Philippe Khoury as global head of strategic energy solutions, global banking.
