A science project at the University of Vermont has got a $20 million federal grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), The Republic reports. The five-year grant has been given to help study the health of the Lake Champlain basin and observe how climate change is affecting it.
The money will be used to take into account the issues that affect the Lake Champlain Basin, land use, streams and rivers of its watershed. The program will also form 16 full-time jobs and a half dozen college scholarships.
