Robert Higginbotham, CEO, Fidelity European will quit the firm, Pensions & Investments reports. He will be leaving the firm in mid-October for unspecified reasons.

Separately, president of Fidelity’s Japanese business, Thomas Balk, has been promoted to president, financial services. In his new role, he will manage both the European and Asian operations of the firm.
