EQT Raises €4.75B In Fresh Capital

Scandinavia-based largest private equity group EQT Partners has raised fresh capital worth €4.75 billion for its sixth fund.

Scandinavia-based largest private equity group EQT Partners has raised fresh capital worth €4.75 billion for its sixth fund, Financial Times reports. Initially, the Swedish group set the target of its largest fund at €4.25 billion. The Asia-Pacific investors’ contribution in EQT’s largest fund has shot up from just 8 percent to 23 percent of fund commitments and an additional 5 percent came from Middle East investors. With this, they have topped the share of European contributors for the first time. EQT focuses on Northern and Eastern Europe companies in the industrial and services sectors.
