The Japanese mutual funds market experienced net inflows of $1.8 billion in August, down from $6.81 billion in the previous month, according to the Investment Trusts Association of Japan. Japan’s broader Topix Index dropped 8.4 percent and the yen appreciated about 1.5 percent against the dollar in August.
