Investors invested $837.8 million in the IShares Barclays Short Treasury Bond Fund (SHV) on September 22 as stocks dropped sharply amid increasing unease that the global economy may be moving towards recession, Index Universe reports. The U.S. fixed-income asset class received $1.39 billion in new assets. Equities experienced net outflows of $1.54 billion. Total assets in U.S.-listed exchange traded funds (ETFs) declined sharply from $1.020 trillion to $980.15 billion on September 21. Among the bond funds, the IShares Barclays 7-10 Year Treasury Bond Fund saw inflows of $138.4 million and the IShares Barclays 20+ Year Treasury Bond Fund saw inflows of $111 million.
