Royal Bank of Scotland is raising €2 billion in a sale of covered bond.

Royal Bank of Scotland is raising €2 billion in a sale of covered bond, Nasdaq reports. The notes carry a coupon rate of 2.5 percent, adds Reuters.

The lender appointed BNP Paribas, Citigroup, Banco Santander, UBS and UniCredit to arrange the sale. The securities are scheduled to mature on Sept. 7, 2014.
