Municipal Bond MFs See $565M Week Inflows

Municipal-bond mutual funds witnessed a net inflow of $565 million in the week ended September 7.

Municipal-bond mutual funds witnessed a net inflow of $565 million in the week ended September 7, The Wall Street Journal reports. According to Thomson Reuters unit Lipper FMI, the week before that saw a net outflow of $282 million from the funds.

Investors withdrew $47 million in a span of four weeks, compared to a $359 million net outflow in the previous four-week period. High-yield municipal funds experienced a $100 million net inflow, versus the former week’s outflow of $108 million. The four-week average outflow for these funds was $55 million.
