Barclays has launched a fund to help renewable energy farm projects.

Barclays has launched a fund to help renewable energy farm projects, Bloomberg reports. The $163 million fund was formed in partnership with the National Farmers Union.

The fund will finance solar wind and hydroelectric projects of an average 44 kilowatts. The move comes following a survey by Barclays that found that 37 percent of U.K. farmers are seeking to cut their energy bills and generate income using renewable energy.
