India is seeking to acquire a 20-25% stake in Belarus potash producer and supplier Belaruskali, Mint reports. The government will pay as much as $7 billion for the acquisition. India may acquire the stake itself or make a joint bid with a consortium of private fertilizer companies. India may face competition for the Belarus company stake from rivals in Russia and China.
