UI Foundation Funds Rise In Fiscal 2011

Fundraising of the University of Iowa Foundation for fiscal year 2011 increased by 12.2%.

Fundraising of the University of Iowa Foundation (UI Foundation) for fiscal year 2011 increased by 12.2%, Iowa City Press reports. The increase in the funds includes contributions worth $213.9 million by private donors. The funds helped create 70 new student scholarships, support 12 faculty positions and create 23 new research funds and 71 new program funds. Since its establishment in 1956, the foundation has raised $2.2 billion in philanthropic support for the University of Iowa.
