TPG Adds Ex-Goldman Exec As Fund Adviser

Goldman Sachs’ former co-president Jon Winkelried has been appointed as an adviser for a new credit fund being raised by buy-out firm TPG Capital.

Goldman Sachs’ former co-president Jon Winkelried has been appointed as an adviser for a new credit fund being raised by buy-out firm TPG Capital, Financial Times reports. At Goldman, Winkelried was in charge of investment banking operations, including its private equity business.

The TPG Specialty Lending Fund is seeking to raise $750 million initially, with $50 million coming from TPG. It is designed as a business development and will provide investors protection against the danger of rising rates.
