Barclays Bank has unveiled a new series of leveraged exchange-traded notes (ETNs). The iPath Long Enhanced S&P 500 VIX Mid-Term Futures ETNs (II) consists of senior, unsecured, unsubordinated debt securities issued by the bank.
The funds will track the performance of the S&P 500 VIX Mid-Term Futures Index. The new series of iPath ETNs, which will be listed on the NYSE Arca, will be promoted to intermediaries by BlackRock Fund Distribution.
