GSV Buys For Facebook Shares

Investment fund GSV Capital has paid $6.6 million to buy 225,000 shares of Facebook.

Investment fund GSV Capital has paid $6.6 million to buy 225,000 shares of Facebook. The shares were acquired through the SecondMarket, adds The Wall Street Journal.

Facebook now represents about 15% of the fund’s portfolio. The GSV transaction values the company at about $70-80 billion. In January, an investment from Goldman Sachs valued the world’s largest online social network at $50 billion.
