DONG, ScottishPower To Build £1.6B Wind Farm

DONG Energy and ScottishPower Renewables, a unit of Spanish power group Iberdrola, are constructing an offshore wind farm in the Irish Sea.

DONG Energy and ScottishPower Renewables, a unit of Spanish power group Iberdrola, are constructing an offshore wind farm in the Irish Sea. The partners will spend a total of about £1.6 billion on the construction.

The total cost of the project also includes the cost to construct offshore transmission assets. The wind farm will consist of 108 Siemens 3.6 mega watts turbines and have a total capacity of 389 mega watts.
