Regulators Asked To Re-Propose Derivatives Rules

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and five other trade groups have asked the federal agencies charged with writing derivatives regulations to re-propose them, reports Bloomberg.

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and five other trade groups have asked the federal agencies charged with writing derivatives regulations to re-propose them. In a letter to the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission the trade associations wrote, “Allowing for more than one round of comments helps ensure that market participants can more fully assess the implications of a set of rules in their entirety.”
