Nomura has appointed ex-JP Morgan manager David Miller as managing director and head of West Coast research sales. Ryan Thornton, who recently served at Deutsche Bank, and former UBS executive Gina Markevitch will join the investment bank as executive directors.
Mark Walsh, who previously served at Thomas Weisel Partners, has also been recruited as executive director, while Chris Virelli will also join in the same position from Soleil Securities. Thornton, Markevitch, Walsh and Virelli will also serve as senior research sales executives.
