The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has appointed Chris Verhaegen for its pension stakeholder team, IPE reports. He will be associated as Chairman of occupational pension stakeholder group (OPSG) of the authority. Verhaegen is currently a secretary general at the European Federation of Retirement Provision (EFRP) and will be stepping down by the end of2011. Additionally, the EIOPA has also hired Benne Popta as its new vice-chairman.
